On my desktop machine, I have Nero installed which works great top burn / copy CDs. My X60+ didn't come with any CD / DVD burning software (or doesn't seem to have).

Am I wrong? Is there something that I can install from one of the supplied discs? I need the ability to burn copy both CDs and DVDs.

    Thanks!

You can use Windows built in disk burning features.

Of course they are pretty much only good at burning general data to discs.

Right Click on File(s)/Folder(s) > Send To > CD/DVD Drive

A balloon tip will pop up in the lower right hand corner or you can go to my computer, select the drive and burn the files.

Don't know if they supply one...maybe not
There are some free burners that you can try like Burn4Free, DeepBurner, etc.

If you like Nero's interface, I heartily recommend DeepBurner's free edition. It's all I use for CD and DVD burning now.

Didn't your X60 plus come with a purple CD called system software media?

Put it in, select the custom installation and then select the Cyberlink DVD Solution. That suite includes a pile of programs including burning software which are installed in the setup as supplied.
