    Hi all,
Looking for some advice. I am needing to get a laptop this week. Not wanting to spend any more than £900 and have (for now) decided upon a NP780Z5E.

From what I can see you can easily pick up two options for the NP780Z5E. The T01 for £800 and the S02 for ~£1100. The only difference I can see between the T01 and S02 is that the S02 has a TPM - something that is not critical for me. Can anyone advise me on whether there are any other differences that I have not seen?

Secondly, I have managed to track down a NP780Z5E-S01 for ~£850 which is the i7 variant with a sweet 8870M graphics card. Can anyone tell me why I should not buy the S02 when I can get a S01 which is higher spec'd ?

    Kind Regards,
    David

I agree, the S01UK with the better CPU and graphics is the model to go for if you can find it at the right price.

I can't find the S02UK but the T02UK has a TPM and Windows 8 Pro. The latter offers no benefit for most people compared to the normal Windows 8.

The 15.6" Series 7 Chronos were superseded by the Ativ Book 8 but I consider the former to be better.

I think (a) is more likely. They seems to have various discontinued Samsung notebooks - even the NP700Z5A!
