I am trying to upgrade the original 256gb m.2 SSD into a 512gb.
I have opened the notebook but cannot find the SSD in the motherboard. The only place I can imagine is under something called Alvin-15T-Bridge, part # BA92-14279B but I dont want to mess with this until I am pretty sure.
Can anyone having the same notebook point me in the right direction ?
I excuse myself for my ignorance but I cannot imagine where this SSD can be.
    Thanks.

Hi elito, welcome to the Samsung forum.

If you check the NP940X5J Owners Lounge (linked below) I am sure there must be some discussion of the m.2 location since several members there did indeed update theirs. Some also added a second m.2 (on models with two m.2 slots). I wish I could tell you myself or give you the exact post that describes it, but you'll have to search that thread a bit

The original SSD is under the blue ribbon cable next to the fans.

As far as I know, the cable just lifts off.
