Hi,
I have just bought a new Samsung R610 laptop;
When I launch FML client it runs in fullscreen mode, I go to the "preference" and select the single window mode. Then it says :
The available desktop space (screen resolution minus taskar and window borders) is not large enough to display a 1024 x 768 window. You cannot run in a windowed mode.
I don't want to play FML in fullscreen mode, why is it not working?
I have hidden the taskbar and tried the small screen window trick to no avail any suggestions?
Thanks for your support.

I think your screen resolution is 1366 x 768. This means that there is not enough vertical height (ie 768 pixels less taskbar and borders) to hold a window which is also 768 pixels high.
This is one of the side-effects of the new generation of displays which have more width but reduced height compared with the previous generation (1280 x 800). I suggest you contact the software developers - there will be many other people encountering the same problem.

Thank you for your reply John.
Is there any way I can produce a virtual resolution to trick the game into thinking I have the specific requirements to run into windowed mode? -

You may be able to select a higher resolution for the display by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting properties, clicking on advanced, then on the monitor tab and then deselecting "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display). You may then be able to increase the logical resolution where the desktop is bigger than the physical display. If the game reads this logical resolution then it may allow the windowed mode. However, you may get distortion.
