I've had issues with my battery not charging even though it is plugged in. I've tried many suggestions on this forum, one of them being to push the battery disconnect button on the bottom of the laptop.

How do I enable the battery again?

    Thanks.

Does the computer detect the battery? What is the current battery charge level? You can see the full battery info using BatteryInfoView.

One reason that the system might not charge the battery by design is Battery Life Extender (if applicable) is enabled and the charge exceeds the maximum charge set in BLE (80%).

If your battery has less than 80% charge then it should automatically recharge whatever the BLE setting. The disconnect switch on the battery should automatically reconnect when AC power is connected. Its purpose is to disconnect the battery for storage or working on the internal hardware. However, we did have one case of a member had pushed the disconnect switch very hard and it was reluctant to reconnect (it did eventually).

There have been a few instances of problems with the battery charging circuit. However, we need to first satisfy ourselves about the battery.
