    Hi,

I have a Samsung Q70 which I bought a couple of months ago and it came with a protective plastic sheet attached to the lid which after I removed has left an imprint on the plastic casing.

Has anyone any suggestions on what to use for cleaning the casing, as Idon't want to use anything which might damage the finish.

    Thanks

    Use a microfiber cloth.

I use a damp (not wet) cloth with a hint of liquid detergent (washing up liquid) for cleaning my notebooks inside and out.

okay I read all about using alcohol 50% with distilled water and microfiber cloth. I did this and it looks streaky and terrible. I went to on-line tech support for dell (vostro 1500) and the guys said he uses that same method. any ideas for getting the streaks out please

My method is a damp microfibre cloth and a very small amount of washing up liquid on one part of the cloth then clean everything with another part of the cloth.

Any suggestions on what to use in cleaning the screen? My Samsung Sens P55 laptop comes with a screen that is not glossy. It seems to me that it has no protective outer layer as I noticed that the slightest touch of my fingers on the screen causes it to change color. It's hard to describe it in text but that's the closest I can do to describe it... It seems to be very sensitive to pressure... As of now I haven't clean the screen since I bought it... But in time, it will need to be clean periodically due to dust and grime... I did use a very soft hairbrush that comes with a built in air blower which you have to pump it manually to produce air (the kind you use to clean the lens of camera) to blow air and dust away from the screen.. Thanks!!

I wipe the dust off with a soft cloth. However, from time to time it is necessary to give the screen a better clean. Matte finish is more difficult to clean than glossy but I find the method I explained above is the best for me. it can take more than one attempt.

After getting the screen clean then I give the rest of the notebook the same treatment. I usually do this while the computer is on.
