    Hi,

I'm getting very confused online about which computers are the new Samsung Chronos and which are the older stock.

On Samsung's website, they are still pushing the NP700Z5C but I've also found a Samsung NP770Z5E which appears to be a newer model!

Anybody with a full list of the newer models? No need to post specs if you don't have them as I'll be able to find them online.

    Cheers,
    Z

Any model number with an 'E' at the end is 2013.

This site lists the current pipeline products (except, for some reason, the Series 9).

What about the sub codes, like S01UB, or S02UB? From what I can tell, the higher the sub-model code, the better the configuration in terms of specs/hardware. Is this right?

For example, the new 780Z5E-S01UB has only 8GB of ram while the S02UB will have 16GB of ram. Has this been true in the past with previous Samsung models?

Subcode varies by country. The specs depend on the country configuration.

Yes. the sub-codes represent a different configuration ordered from the factory by a country marketing department. When another variant gets added it might be better or worse in hardware terms or it might have a different version of Windows (or both). UB is a specific identifier for Best Buy. Other US models are US.
