Just like my AAO I want to upgrade from; the NC10 had some multitouch synaptic trackpad capabilities which can be modded for 2 finger scrolling http://code.google.com/p/two-finger-scroll/

However the NC10SE had a trackpad which prevented this.

The NC20 manual says it does have this pinch and chiral, I need to know for definite if it does as I don't want to be without 2 finger scrolling.

    Thanks.

If it says it has it then it does, if it doesn't then you are within your rights to send it back

In theory thats perfectly logical and straight forward, but I just know it wouldn't be that easy to get a refund.

It's just going to be 100 times easier if some just tells me if it has it or not before I buy one.

As far as I can figure out the NC20's touchpad is the same as the NC10 except being a size bigger. It definitely support chiral scrolling but I never tried any hacks for 2-finger scrolling.

I have both the NC20 and the NC10 at home, which is just down the road from you (Swindon), but I'm away from home at the moment.

One test to check for the similarity of the NC10 and NC20 touchpads is to see if they have the same drivers. Check out the Samsung download site.

AFAIK the larger NC10se touchpad has the same driver but definitely no pinch or chiral. I just need to be sure they haven't used the same pad on the NC20.

    Thanks anyway.

The NC20's touchpad is a very usable 70mm x 42mm, if that helps.

Chiral scrolling is where you move your finger in a circular motion starting in the scroll area. one way to up and the other way to go down. It's quite effective but needs practice.
