    Hi,
I have tried doing a dual boot on my samsung q310 but when i restart to go from one to the other os i select the other os in the boot menu and then the computer has to restart, and then it shows the boot options again and then lets me load the other os.

I believe it has something to do with ahci being set to auto as it needs to be enables for vista and disabled for xp. Is there any way to stop it having to restart after i select the different os to what i last booted.

    Does vista need ahci enabled?

    Thanks
