Does anyone know when Samsung is going to actually support Windows 8? Easy Settings, or "Settings" for windows 8 has two options and the WiFi toggle FN key doesn't even work. Has anyone here made Easy Settings (such as the Fan function button) work in Win8? Thanks.

My WiFi (FN+F12) was doing the same, now it works. Did you install the "Airplane Mode Control Driver" from SW Update software yet? That's what fixed it for me.

Not sure about the fan toggle feature. Mine is working. When I press FN+F11, the screen dims and brightens for the two modes. It might be something you are missing from Settings or SW Update.

Software update says I am up to date (other than the BIOS update) and I am using Easy Settings 2.0.0.30. I am going to nuke all the samsung stuff off the laptop when I get home and try reinstalling the drivers from the website. On Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.

You seem to be missing some things in Settings and SW Update. I can tell because some items have different version numbers. This is probably due to your laptop's model--it is NP700Z5B instead of my NP700Z5C. Did you choose the correct model in SW Update? Perhaps, you can try NP700Z5C, but try it at your own risk though.

What version of settings are you using? I have 2.0.0.30 installed in addition to Easy Settings 1.1.1.4 (so the button indicators work).

Settings shows on my NP700Z5C Boot Management, Network, Display, & Sound Alive only. No settings for keyboard brightness, quite mode, screen brightness, etc.

    Thanks for your assistance!

Anyone have an idea how to get Settings 2.0.0.30 to display all of the options for my NP700Z5C as pictured above by Hanime? Thanks!

Ok, I finally got the extra settings by installing the Easy Settings for Windows 7 and running it under compatibility mode just in case. They are on the samsung site. And contrary to some posts in this forum it did not mess with any other drivers (either video card) doing so.

Easy Settings in Win7 compatibility mode works fine. I just can't get Settings for Win 8 to work as it should.
    Thanks Striker1211 for the suggestion.
