What I want to do is enable three finger tapping to work like the middle mouse button (which if I'm correct opens links in a new tab in most browsers)

Also, are there any other settings that would be handy?

The last one, twofinger_double_tap_showitem may be changed to 1 to show that in the menu.

Run C:\Program Files\Elantech\ETDAniConf.exe to edit settings with a UI and yes, assigning a multi-finger tap gesture to middle button does open links in a new tab (at least in firefox).

Alright, I've tried changing the value on a couple of the ShowItem entries to 1 and it doesn't change anything in either settings program. After watching the .avi for circular scrolling, I want to make that work.

I couldnt get two finger and three finger tapping to work while disabling one finger tapping, perhaps this is possible with registry hacks? Never bothered to look there.

It's interesting that the UI in C:\Program Files\Elantech\ETDAniConf.exe doesn't allow you to select an action for single-finger tap.

    OMG! THANK YOU!

This actually works despite me using driver version 10.7.5.0!! :D

I can now set the Right Button action on the touch pad to "Click/Select"!! This option no longer exists in 10.7.5.0 GUI!

IMO, version 10.7.5.0 makes my touch pad works better compared to previous version. For that reason, I did not want to roll back to previous version despite losing the option I mentioned above...now I get the best of both! :D

how do I get a regedit change to stay??? Each time I put TouchPadRejection_Display to 1, and go to ETDAniConf, , enable it, and then close, the registry has put it back to 0 and the change is gone. HELP!

What are you trying to achieve? I suspect that parameter might try to get ETDAniConf to display something which it is not programmed to display, and hence resets that parameter.
