Does anybody know if its possible to get a Samsung laptop that doesn't have the multilingual keyboard in Canada? I'm looking at the 7 series at the moment, but I refuse to adapt to a multilingual keyboard. I guess I could always order one from the states, but Best Buy is selling it for more than $100 more than I can get it for locally. I'd also like the option of returning it easily if I don't like it.
Can someone in Canada that has the NP700Z5A-S01CA post or link to a picture of the keyboard please?

I hate multilingual keyboards as well, but this laptop far met my needs over anything else so I gave it a shot. I remapped the key next to the left-hand "shift" key to also be "shift" so it was act as a a normal non-multilingual one and I have adapted pretty well. It's not perfect, but after a few days I was perfectly happy. Other than that, there really isn't much that is too different from the standard keyboards that I usually use. The delete key is in an annoying spot, but I believe that's the same for all Chronos keyboards (I could be wrong though).

Do you mind posting a picture of it? I haven't actually seen it.

I don't have a camera to take a picture of it myself, but this post on Kijiji has a photo of it that I double-checked and is accurate. Samsung Series 7 Chronos i7 2675QM 8GB 750GB 15.6IN Radeon 6750m (note to mods: I have no connection to this listing and it was the first image of the keyboard I came across - perfectly happy with my Series 7 with no plans to sell it)
*edit* scroll through a couple pictures and there's a direct shot of it.
* edit 2* I did notice a difference between this one and mine, but it's only the F9 and F10 keys don't show the keyboard brightness icons in the image, whereas they are there on mine. -

No worries. Really, though, as mentioned before, one of my biggest concerns was the keyboard because I hate Canadian multilingual keyboards, but after remapping that key next to the "shift", it's been a pleasure using the computer. If your only concern is that, then I'd say go for it and if it really is a problem, make sure that there's a return policy from where you buy it and take it back before the return period.

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on the site in a few days. Yes, mine is backlit. There's an FN key to both make the backlit keyboard brighter and dimmer, going all the way down to off.
