So Samsung tech support is really lacking with a 3day call back waiting period. This laptop has 2 graphics cards in it which is nice to help save on power, but when gaming I really need the dedicated graphics to be able to keep up. The laptop will not read the GT650M that is built in. Anyone know how to get by this? I have used the Nvidia panel to force it to the High performance, and have also changed the power options to high performace, no changes.
    :(

You might want to try setting the intel graphics to high performance if you haven't already, killing silent mode for the fan in easy settings if it's on and getting into your bios and setting your CPU to maximum performance if you haven't. I have the GT 650m and when running right it is pretty competitive along side most other cards, I hope you get it running right because I know you will enjoy the performance.

Incidentally, I had to delete all the Samsung software on my laptop to get my GT 650m running well, others would say that's extreme, but when plaing I don't really want software trying to connect with Samsung's driver page looking for updates or my laptop trying to running in silent mode because I might of accidently hot keyed this function.

So all the setting are set high, still not working, the bios is really limited unless there is a more advanced bios in which I have not accessed. I tried to disable integrated and so help me god that made things drastically worse :/

Have you tried using the SW updater to see if you have updates? You can use this one even though it's not your model webpage the software is the same, you might have a bios update.

The Nvidia cards have been known to have problems if the Intel drivers are malfunctioning, I would try using this Intel® Driver Update Utility to see if intel drivers are up to date.

I would just search the Intel site for the latest HD intel 4000 drivers and install them. I would say that there is something wrong if you can't get that utility to work.

I have the same problem! But I have the NP780Z5E-S01UB and it's an AMD 8770 and the same Intel 4000. I will try updating the Intel drivers and if that doesn't work, I'll try adjusting settings in BIOS.

I installed the Intel driver last night. It made the Catalyst control center not work, probably due to a conflict. I had to reset the computer. I will set up a bunch of restore points after I load everything. I got an email back from a Samsung person, so I might try and have them help me troubleshoot. But it might just be a slower version of the help I received in a Samsung help chat.

I didn't really think that would work for you seeing AMD having been having numerous issues with numerous cards on the switchable graphics platform, But I would try auto detect from the AMD site with the new intel drivers as a next step before rolling back.

    In addition
I still believe that switchable graphics is a good idea that doesn't work.

I think its a great idea as well. Needs more support though. Samsung tech is going to log into my computer and test a few things out but their waiting list they said an eta 5-7 business days.

After making me reformat, and do multiple bullcrap things before they put me on that list.

Its obvious an intel thing, why must intel try to do everything? just sit back and let some other people do stuff

i think, the problem is that i cannot enable the dedicated vga (HD6750m) to work on the application i want..

the solution i have tried :
    1. uninstalled the driver with fusion driver and cc cleaner, then installed it again, but still the same issue..

can anyone help ? samsung service centre in indonesia are hopeless.. is it possible to refund it and upgrade it to a newer version that doesnt have this problem, problem is my receipt from buying this laptop are already gone..

sorry for my bad english.. please help me..

My statement "I still believe that switchable graphics is a good idea that doesn't work." is tongue in cheek. If it doesn't really work that well for some applications, it's not much of an idea at all.

I have switchable graphics and the only way I can enjoy playing games is to set everything to max or high performance. How am I suppose to save power with my laptop set like this, seeing there is no switch to use the onboard graphics?

I had a AMD HD 6770m which could be switched from onboard graphics to HD 6770m after setting it to be fixed instead of dynamic in bios. By right clicking on the desktop and choosing onboard graphics or HD 6770m, but as far as I know for some stupid reason AMD stopped their software from doing this in later graphics cards. Now AMD's graphics are very problematic and Nvidia are better but not by much seeing how much you need to tweak the laptop..

the theory is awesome, use a basic card to not drain battery, it just needs to work. No resolution or call yet from samsung
