Hi there... ive being googling but i dont really found a solution for it..

The thing is... the dim up/down of my backlit has 8 gradual steps.. right lights up, and left dims down as any laptop supposed to do. however when i dim down beyond the last 3 "sticks" the backlit turns completely off!!! and through after the backlit has been off when i press the FN UP, the gradual scale goes up but the backlit itself remains off. the annoying solution is to close the lid and open it again, or turn in sleep mode and power on again

Have you installed the keyboard drivers for your laptop?

    Hi,

I had this exact same thing on my Thinkpad T60, and the only remedy was to reboot the machine..

The only saving grace for me was that my backlight didn't go completely off.. so I was able to just about see what was going on...
