    I am interested in these two laptops which are in my price range.
    Which is better?
    I don't want anything larger than a 14" or with less than an Intel i5
    processor.
    Need portability, good quality screen, and long lasting battery life.
    I keep a lot of open sites when I do searching and a lot of
    picture work. Vey little gaming.

    I would recommend that you post in the What Notebook should I Buy forum using this form. Mention the two computers that you are interested in but members may suggest other computers which would meet your needs (so state if local availability of different brands is a constraint).

    Had the same dilema.. I picked the QX410 for the better build and better graphics.
    Also I think it looks much nicer.

    there is not much between the build qualities on these two machines,
    if you need robust then the HP Probooks are well built.

    HPs look nice, but inside they are build like $#!7. Get the Samsung.
