    hi guys,
    I have the np550p5c-s03 ,c i7 , 8gb ram, 2gb nvidia gt650 .
now I updated bios through samsung sw update app.
and since then no app can detect nvidia graphics
I tried my restore points, but nothing worked.
Wiped system through recovery, but it just re-installed windows.I checked bios version ,it's the same .
I tried the method explained on the forums here to roll back bios, but didn't succeed .
    Are my graphics gone forever?
I tried to disable and uninstall intel graphics, bit then windows would say I dont have a graphics card, although gt650 shows up in device manager.
Is there anyway to disable intel graphics permanently or solve this problem?
    please ,I need help ASAP.
sorry if my english is bad.

Hi Somor, welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about your BIOS problem. Clearly something must have failed during that flash.

I am afraid I cannot help you with that myself. Personally I would contact Samsung for service in a situation like that. But maybe others have experience and advice for you.

However I do have to ask you to be patient, and not bump your thread (ie post again to elevate it to the top) sooner than 24 hours. It's in our forum rules. It's like shouting to people to drop what they're doing in order to help you.

I do understand that this is urgent for you -- and if I knew the answer I would have given it to you already. But please understand that this is a forum of members like yourself. There are no paid support staff here, waiting to answer your questions.

So again, please be patient. Hopefully someone will step forward with an answer :)

As far as I understand from these links ,I have to remove my CMOS battery or even the other main battery, Can you just please tell me how ,I mean for how much time ,and when do I have to install it again?
because this laptop doesn't have a pin hole /paper clip thing.
Btw I called Samsung service and they told me I have to send it to them ,I'm afraid because samsung service sucks here in Egypt.
So I just need to know the appropriate method of removing these batteries If this would help.
    thanks in advance.

I believe that the main battery on this model is external (located along the back edge) and is easily removed. However, you probably need to remove the base to locate the CMOS battery but the reset pins, if they exist, may be accessible under the removable cover for the HDD and memory.

Various people have found that different things worked for them, so start with the easiest / quickest potential fixes first. If they don't work then try leaving the computer longer without any batteries connected.

Regarding the reset pins, I understand that you just have to hold something metal between the two pins for a short period, probably with the CMOS battery disconnected.

    It's been a while..
I decided to send it to the store ,and they sent it to Samsung Service ,took about 10 days then they sent it back ,I asked Samsung representative to try it for me before I get it back.
well ,it booted ,but windows says no display driver (the Nvidia one) ,and it went on an endless reboot loop .
I sent it back to them ,and the guys at the store told me that if it doesn't get repaired in 30 days ,I can have new one ,or full refund.
Now ,I don't really want to get a samsung again ,so I have some alternatives and I need your help to choose the suitable one,cuz I don't buy online.
    Alternatives:
    1-Hp envy dv6 (ci7 3630qm ,6-8gb ram ,1TB hdd,Nvidia gt630m 2Gb,bluray drive)
    2-Lenovo Ideapad Y500 (ci7 ,8gb ram ,1Tb hdd,Nvidia gt650m 2gb gddr5 ,dvd-burner )
    3-Dell Inspiron 15R special edition 7520 (ci7 ,6-8gb ram ,1Tb hdd ,AMD radeon 7730M 2gb ,dvd-burner)
I mainly prefer hp ,due to build quality and stability ,as I have a pavilion dv5 that served me about 7.5 years till now without a flaw.
I consider the y500 ,but I'm afraid of its build quality and touch-pad and web-cam issues .
About the dell I knew that amd switchable graphics are really PAIN .
I need this laptop for my studies (I study architecture) so I work on Autocad ,revit ,solidworks ,and photoshop cs5 ,and some gaming (Nfs Most wanted 2012 for example).
    can anybody recommend any alternative?
    thanks in advance

You might get better advice about the alternatives if you post in sub-forum.

Or, considering that the Samsung originally fitted your requirements, see if you can have a new one on trial for a week.
