I didn't see a hole to push the pin in to eject the CD. I put in the recovery CD to install recovery but after that I want to do a clean install from a USB stick. I already did a wipe of the OS installed by recovery disc. So to eject the CD with the function key I would have to install the OS from recovery again because the one from USB stick just keeps on restarting. It installed fine but doesn't even show the initial boot screen when restarting.

Load BIOS with F2. Fn eject button works in there (at least on my Series 7).

Yeah, I've had to use that a few times as well on this PC. Fn eject also works when booted into DOS command prompt and in boot menus. But once Windows has loaded its keyboard drivers, that pesky Samsung Easy Settings must be installed for Fn keys to work. And as I'm sure you discovered, it takes a long time for it to load after Windows is up and running.
