Sorry to be one of those guys who comes out of nowhere and starts asking stupid questions, but...
About two weeks ago I bought myself an r610-64g for school and fun. All was well, it was a bit warm, but nothing to be worried about. Then I started worrying anyway and downloaded coretemp and speedfan just to keep an eye on things. To my surprise they both showed core0 and 1 at around 48c-55c during normal usage, (Mostly internet fun like youtube and a word processor in the background) and getting near 70 while playing games, the GPU temp sits around the same area. Is this bad? Normal? The only other laptop I had was ridiculously old and never blew air out that was more than moderately warm as opposed to the furnace I have now, so I don't really know what I'm looking at.
Thanks for any time and answers you can give, hope this is the right area to post.

Those temperatures are typical of what Samsung normally design the fan operation to achieve. Full load temperatures of around 70C are fine.

The fact that the fan is blowing hot air indicates that the cooling system is working fine and getting rid of the heat (up to 40 - 50W) that the CPU and GPU are generating when under load. Is the notebook itself getting unpleasantly hot?

If you would like to reduce the heat then visit the undervolting guide.
