    Hello
Hello, i bought a PC All in one from turkey model: DP700A3D
I worked for a formate and repartition the hard drive for change language from turkish to english, and I install windows 8.1, then i was surprised that the apps Samsung has disappeared
Searched the Internet for solutions and found thousands of threads from people complaining about the same thing
I went to the service center and they could not do anything, support in Turkey is very bad and needs months for maintenance
I bought a Samsung computer for Samsung applications but applications now does not appear
Is it possible that Samsung does not give Windows installation disc, and does not know the solution to the problems of customers??
How i can reinstall preinstalled windows or re everything to what it was previously
please help me and i am sorry for my bad english
    Thanks

Samsung, like many other manufacturers, put the factory image on the hard drive. However, when the computer is first turned on Samsung should automatically prompt the user to make a backup of the factory image and, if the process is skipped at that time then a nag message appears each time the computer is started. By reformatting and repartitioning the hard drive you have deleted the recovery image.

You have to find another Windows installation disc and then you can access the standard drivers and software for your computer using SW Update which you can download using the link here.

Installation packages for the pre-installed software (necessary drivers and useful utilities as well as the less useful bloatware) are all located in the SystemSoftware folder on the Recovery Data partition (the larger of the two Samsung Recovery partitions).

Tools are included to back up Recovery and the System Software, but as John pointed out, Samsung doesn't nag users to do so. They must assume that most users don't wipe their disks, and that those who do have no need for the extra Samsung stuff.

As also mentioned by John, drivers and critical software can be downloaded with SW Update, but some software (such as those Metro Apps) is only available as long as the Recovery Data partition is present. Unfortunately, once the Recovery partitions are gone, there is no way to get them back unless you made a Recovery backup.

You can ask Samsung to re-image your disk -- which they will normally do for a fee. I've heard $50 mentioned, but I am sure it is country dependent.

I am afraid I don't think there is any way to request this service online. You have to call Samsung support in your country and make the person there understand that you want your disk to be re-imaged and you are willing to pay for it (within reason).

Of course make sure to ask first if there is any other a way to get the Samsung Apps -- but I think you already asked them that.

They may offer to send you a Recovery Media disc insead, but that is just a Windows OEM disc -- always great to have, but I do not think it will contain the System Software and those apps.

Please post the outcome here, so we know which advice to pass to other Turkish members in the same situation.

Edit: Oh, and make sure to backup your data before sending the computer in for re-imaging. It will wipe the disk.
