    How to stop dimming of the s creen on Q310?

    After a few seconds of inactivity the screen will go to 1/8 brightness - how do you stop that? It happens regardless of the power pofile and I tried the display brightness settings etc.

    I either must have done this before or did not have to. It's just that my profile got corrupted and I created a new one.

    Have you checked the Windows Mobility Center , some notebooks have an Auto Dim setting that can be disabled , this applies to Vista and W7.
