As freak luck would have it, both my wife's and my laptop crapped out within 2 weeks of each other (guess one got lonely...haha). At any rate, we're in desparate need to buy laptops ASAP. I'm looking for a powerful 14" that is light and small. Many recommended the X460.

Just curious if they are still good buys or if others out there are better now. it seems like for the price, these are a true winner.

We're mainly using them for everyday business and personal use. I do a little of photo/video editing, web design, and some light gaming.

So for those that have one...do you still like it and would you still recommend we purchase the X460?

    Any input would be wonderful.

    Thanks much all!

hey, you'll love this machine. What its got inside seems to be elite and since samsung makes all the parts for other laptops such as eg.battery, screen, ram etc... they can put the best they got in their machine and sell it at a cheaper price.
THe design looks really nice too personally.

btw i found a site selling it for $1k and samsungs got a $300 rebate so totals down to $700 for this amazing machine. its a must. check it out...its at CDW.com oh ya nd the rebate expires and price goes up after march 31.

cdw.com is not listed as eligible for a rebate on the rebate form

I would avoided the U330 due to the really bad screen

i love my x460, its light, fast, sleek good battery life my only gripe is the speakers there crappy but i didnt buy it for blasting sounds. You will be pleased if you go with the x460. Also i think the rebate ended in febuary. But i am shure you could find some good deals around.

Yes go for it, it is well built and should last longer then a typical consumer-esque notebook.
