Hi Everyone,
I'm toying with the idea of creating a dual boot Windows 7/Linux Suse 11.2 system on my Samsung Q320. I was wondering if anyone else has done this? I'm a bit miffed that you don't get a Windows 7 CD with the laptop and really I'm not sure about how you go about deleting the restore partition.
I'd be grateful for any advice on this matter.
Cheers,
Steve

Before I did anything, I created a software/driver backup DVD using Samsung Recovery. I then did a full backup to an external hard drive (my image was about 60Gb) and then backed that up to another external hard drive. I booted in to Windows 7 and ran Disk Management - deleted the recovery partition and then booted from the Linux distribution CD I was using. Linux automatically detected the free space on the disk which it used for the file system. The only issue people might have is with the boot loader - you need to make sure that you chose the right boot sector for Windows. But even if you don't, this is easily enough rectified after you have installed Linux.
Hope that helps. -
