No. I wouldn't rush out and get it anyway yet cos there aint any drivers for sound plus various other applications. I tried over 15 other drivers and they didn't work so im back on XP until Samsung release them.

The X60plus should be on Samsung's list of computers eligible for low cost upgrade if you bought it during the qualifying period. Perhaps more X60plus owners need to pester them to add it to the list. You have until 31st March to order the upgrade which costs just under £15 after the shipping cost (about 90% of the total) is included.

The site says that the upgrades will be sent out during March and April but you may wish to hold back from installing it until more of the problems have been fixed.

if this is the same sound driver as the X60 uses, i can ratify that it does work correctly under vista, although the control panel does not function correctly

I have just had a phone coversation with Samsung support. I was told (i) some more computers were being added to the list for Vista upgrade eligibility and (ii) there would be a refresh of the Samsung web site at the end of February to include Vista drivers.

Can anyone confirm this? And if so, could anyone send me a link to the driver please. I'd be very grateful :)

At present, the best source of drivers for the NP-X60plus is the NT-X60plus on the Samsung downloads site. However, if what I was told by Samsung UK support a few days ago is correct, the download site would be updated to include Vista drivers in the near future. Maybe, at the same time, they will update all the NP-X60plus downloads so that the aren't the same as the NP-X60.
