I have a problem for the last 2 days. Unfortunately a bit a read wine spilled over my keyboard of my Samsung Series 7 Chronos and 3 keys stopped working. In order to let it dry off, I connected an external keyboard and I was able to work away.
Since this morning now, both keyboards only react extremely slowly, meaning I have to keep a key pressed down for 2 or 3 seconds before a letter shows up on the screen. However, the onscreen keyboard is still working fine.
According to the keyboard settings in the device manager all is working fine. Could this have anything to do with the red wine issue?![]()
I appreciate any thoughts and ideas of how to proceed.
Thank you.

The dried wine is probably shorting out the electronics. Wine isn't as corrosive as Coke but the deposits will be enough to upset the electronics.
This is likely to be expensive to fix and involves replacement of the entire keyboard palmrest unit which is a major dismantling job. Sometimes the problem can be cleared by giving the keyboard a thorough wash and dry but the dismantling will still be required.

Thanks John,
I wonder though why also the external keyboard is affected in the same way ...!? Can it not be some kind of keyboard setting? -

You could try disabling the internal keyboard (probably listed as a Standard PS/2 keyboard) in Device Manager and see if the external one then works OK.
John
Keyboard only reacts very slowly.
