    I'm soon to purchase a Q35 (v. excited).

I want to get a 'slipcase' or 'sleeve' for it (so that the laptop can go inside the slipcase, and the slipcase will go inside my rucksack).

    It needs to be:
    • As light and small as possible
    • As strong as possible (i.e able to resist knocks)

I've noticed that most of the 12" slipcases on the net seem to be too short accommodate the Q35 - I think because they weren't designed for widescreen laptops. So, I guess I might have to get a 13.3 case instead.

PC World sells a brilliant slipcase by 'Elecom' (I've got it for my office laptop) which is both light and strong. However, I can't seem to find it in the smaller sizes.

Any suggestions? (either of widescreen 12.1" cases or 13.3 cases)

I had also noticed that PC World / Currys don't stock the 12-13" neoprene sleeves.

My Q35 is currently travelling in a becase sleeve which is very and thin. It provides good protection against scratching and dirt but not against bumps. However, if the Q35 is packed between A4 size documents then these provide protection.

Amazon.co.uk lists a selection of Tucano sleeves.

You may also want to look at the Crumpler cases. MyMemory stocks a selection.

The battery sticking out of the back of the Q35 may mean that it will not fit into some 12" widescreen sleeves. The size you need is 12" / 30cm wide x 9" /23cm deep. My Q35's becase sleeve is the 13" regular (not widescreen) size.
