    Hey guys,

I am currently looking at this SAMSUNG Series 7 700Z5A-S03 that I have found over at newegg. Trying to find some comments from current owners who are using it now.

    1. What is the experience of photoshop/indesign/dreamweaver on it? Does it run pretty seemlessly with the resolution?

    2. Is there a pretty big issue with the Open GL issue? OR is that more of a very specified situation where this could cause a problem. As I will only be using this for photo editing/graphics along with a few games like Starcraft 2 and team fortress 2.

    3. Does it get pretty hot? I am looking to use this on the couch and on the go so it will most likely be in my lap most the time.

    4. Is it a sturdy machine? Will I be scared of breaking something or bending something while I move around or if happens to fall off the couch?

Appreciate any responses you guys have in advance!!

    Thanks

    1) Dunno about InDesign or Dreamweaver, but I've been using Photoshop on it. It's been alright, haven't had any slowdowns, though my files have bee 5"x7"x300dpi. Haven't done too much intensive stuff on it. I'm waiting on the graphics fix to come, though; if it doesn't, I'm sending it back.

    2) As long as the games you're running run in DX (which TF2 and I'm pretty sure SC2 do), the OpenGL issue won't bother you.

    3) Nope, it runs surprisingly cool.

    4) Yes and no. It feels sturdy, and I haven't had too many issues, though there is some noticeable flex if you push down in certain points (none while typing), and I'm paranoid that the right wrist rest on my unit has been pushed down farther than the left.

So the Open GL problem is that big of a problem? That makes me worried.

Does the Open GL issue effect Photoshop at all? Any confirmations on this?

I realize you can turn off Open GL in the options of Photoshop but didn't know if there was anything else random that would happen by doing that.

I am also been trying to buy the samsung 700Z5A-S03, but it is pretty much sold out everywhere, and has been out of stock on newegg for a while.
