My Sumsung R 18+ is bought nearly a year ago, now it makes noise, and always stick after I install Vista, especially when I use FF visit over 5 sites.
I wonder whether the memory (512M) is too limited?

For vista, 1.5 gigabytes of RAM is generally understood to be the absolute minimum, so yes, *severely* limited. Should be a relatively cheap and easy upgrade though.

As for noise, try cleaning your fan/vents etc with compressed air (out of a can, not a workshop compressor.)

More Ram will certainly speed it up.
I don't know what the noise is though.

    thank you
I thought it stuck because the system partition is small, so I planed use free Partition Master to enlarge, but it only support 32-bit Vista, it works well on 32-bit Vista, I have to search a 64-bit supported one.

After enlarged the system partition, I will upgrade the RAM and clear it.
If it works, I will let you know.

Would this sound you're hearing happen to be a high pitched buzz/whine? Or is it the sound of the fan spinning you're hearing?
