hi all, newbie here, got a old np-nf110 notebook laptop, upgraded it to 2gb memory, is there any way to get rid of the vga output and replace it with a hdmi port, what does this involve getting a new graphics card??
    thanks michael.

It's not that simple. If the info here is correct then the GPU is in the CPU package and has limited capabilities. To quote from that link:

Why not just get a HDMI to VGA Adapter, because if you could even do what you ask (which I doubt you can) it would cost a lot more than a Adapter.

You could try the USB to HDMI route with something like this.

That's HDMI to VGA. We are looking for VGA to HDMI (to connect to a TV). Alternatively, some TVs have VGA ports.

Couldn't you just use it with a normal VGA lead, I have a VGA lead on a desktop with both ends having a male plug? Cause I'm guess it would have to be a little longer.

My interpretation of the OP's requirements is that he wants to get output from his NF110 onto a TV with an HDMI input. I don't know of any VGA to HDMI adapters so USB to HDMI looks to be the best route. However, I can't vouch for the quality.
