    Hey guys,
I am a Computer Science student with the aforementioned laptop, and recently I have decided that (mostly for fun, but also a little bit in the interest of becoming familiar with Unix,) I want to try to create a dual boot of the Windows 8 as well as Ubuntu or some other distro of Linux. Before I do this, I have a few questions.

Has anybody been able to get the switchable graphics in this version to work properly, and if so how is it done? If not, how do I force the system to run only on the integrated graphics as I would like to preserve battery life beyond 3d performance.

Also, has anybody been able to get all of the Fn Keys to work properly (most importantly sound brightness and backlight on the keyboard) and if so how?

I am sure I'll come up with some more questions as I move forward with this, but I think that's all for now.
    Thanks,
    MuerteMan

Google for "site:notebookreview.com Samsung Series 7 Linux" and you will find various bits of discussion about Linux on the Series 7.

Also read this thread if UEFI is enabled on your notebook.
