I am wondreing if I can upgrade the network card (if it is soldered in, onboard, or can be removed easily for someone who isn't good with soldering)?

Several people have done WiFi card upgrades in various Samsung notebooks although I can't recall if your model is among them.

The Wifi card won't be soldered in a notebook of that age. If the Z5B is like the Z5A then the WiFi card is close to the left fan in this photo .

Does your existing WiFi card include Bluetooth? Which card is it?

intel centrino n6230 I forgot how it looked when I opened it up. I wonder, can I replace this card as easily as I did my hard drive? It seems like it has bluetooth in it, although I've always kept it off

The 6230 is dual band + BT so the only upgrade would be the 7260ac. However, it will only give a significant improvement if you have an ac router.

also read this and this in case there's anything relevant to your situation.
