    I have a NP700Z5C, UK version.
Already replaced the accessible 4Gig memory stick with an 8Gig one and replaced the slow HDD with a SSD.
Now I'm totally and utterly fed up with the rubbish wifi card in this machine. Everyone around me at work is getting full strength wifi with fast net while I can't even SEE some networks that I was using just fine only yesterday! (yes its still active as the people next to me are connected). At home it takes several minutes to get "internet access" after connecting to the home network, even tho other wireless (eg my phone) connect to the net just fine the instant I step in the door.

So, is there any guide somewhere (similar to the HDD replacement guide I found on this website) that describes replacing the piece of junk in this laptop with something like a KillerN card?

    1. Download the driver for the new WiFi card.
    2. Turn off the computer.
    3. Remove the base of the computer.
    4. Disconnect the WiFi antennae from the WiFi card.
    5. Remove the screw(s) holding the WiFi card.
    6. Remove the WiFi card.
    7. Slot in the new WiFi card and insert the screw(s).
    8. Connect the antennae.
    9. Replace the base of the computer.
    10. Turn on and install the driver.

However, changing the WiFi card to non-Intel will only avoid the specific issues with the Intel card / driver. Replacement does not address the basic problem that having the antennae in the chassis is not as effective as having antennae in a plastic display. You may therefore want to first check that you are getting the best out of the intel WiFi by reading http://forum.notebookreview.com/samsung/727499-wifi-remedies-samsung-laptops.html.

    Great, thanks.

Hmm didn't know that the antennae was probably the core of the problem, I've tried various soft solutions but will try some more from your link there before going to hardware.

I remember from last time I had the bottom off this machine I had a quick glance but couldn't see the wifi card ... do you happen to have a link to picture of it? Also couldn't see it in the guide I followed for the HDD replacement.

The weak signal problem is shared with the Series 9s.

The WiFi card is next to the left fan in Z5A photos here.

I believe that the Z5C uses the same basic layout.
