So I tried installing Ubuntu on this machine, and everything went smooth, but I wanted to upgrade so I uninstalled, deleted its partition, and merged it back with Windows. Now, Ubuntu is stuck in my BIOS boot options. I have tried to boot into Linux again and remove it from boot menu, tried /FixMbr, tried many things but no dice. Samsung will not fix it for free nor can Best Buy. Since I have seen similar issues on this site, with possible solutions, this is my last stop. I assume if I can reflash a stock copy of my BIOS, I can get it off of there. It is not affecting any performance of my laptop, but it is just annoying to have it there. My machine has come with Windows 8 pre installed.

Now, does anyone know how I can reflash my bios to stock or even get the Ubuntu option off the boot menu?

This thread describes a method for reinstalling the original BIOS.

You might also want to see if there is anything useful here.
