    Hi All,
yesterday i received my NP940X3G, the german i7 256GB version.
    I am really happy !!

The only problem i noticed is that after a standby, the processor seems to be stuck at 0.77 Ghz (lowest possible) based on the task managers Performance Monitor.
Of course this is very obvious when in comes to performance...

From googling i found that this has been an issue with Asus Win 8 notebooks and maybe others.
Asus released a firmware fix for this

Is anyone aware of a solutions for the Samsung Ativ 9 Plus series?

    Thanks a lot !!

    That's the first sighting of the i7 + 256GB X3G.

Have you used SW Update to check for the latest drivers and software? If it doesn't offer anything for your model then use the Find Model function to check the drivers / software for the newest US versions of the X3G. Your German version was the first into production and may not have the latest.

I own a 900x3C (which has the same MB as yours - so I assume). I do not have this issue.
Have you looked at the windows power plan that's active after standby? Make sure in Samsung Settings that you have set 'Silent Mode' to 'Off'. 'Low' or 'Auto' might lock the allowed CPU load hence limiting the CPU clock to the lowest possible.

Thanks a ton, this fixed it...

Didn't think of this as a possible issue (it's my first Samsung so i wasn't even aware of the silent mode...)

    Thanks again !!

Many people have been caught out. Samsung aren't explicit enough about the implications on performance of using either of those modes. If we could have full speed at low power consumption minimal fan activity then there would be no need for those modes. However, something has to give to provide the eco and silent benefits.
