So, my laptop was recently damaged and the screen is pretty badly shattered... and the hard drive is damaged too/
Now, my plan is to reshell the laptop into a different case and use it as desktop connected via HDMI. Now, when I connect the lappy as is to the TV screen, I see nothing (no HDD = No windows) but I have been told that there is a setting in the BIOS that allows HDMI from boot (so I hope to use this to install windows rather than buying a new screen)...
Plus I need to change boot device to CD...
so my question is, can someone please send me photo dumps of all the bios screens for this lappy? Especially including the options for boot device and for video output device?
Thanks so much in advance!

Can you provide the remainder of the first part of the model number: NP700Z**?
Eg one number and one letter. The number is the nominal size and the letter is the generation. while the BIOS is often the same for models of different size of a particular generation, the BIOS has some changes between generations.
Also, have you looked around to see if someone is selling the parts you need as used parts taken from a dead notebook? You might be lucky and find something at a reasonable price.

I was reciting it from memory haha - I just checked and it is a NP700Z5A-S07AU
I have looked around, but the cheapest screen I can find in my country is over 300USD, and the case is now pretty haggard as well - plus a crack in the trackpad. I think it will be more cost effective for me to connect this to a monitor and buy myself a tablet for school! -

Can you get a display from US ebay? There are several on offer there, such as this, at reasonable prices.
I hope someone with a Z5A / Z4A / Z3A will drop by and take a look in their BIOS for the display setting.
I've also edited the thread title to include your full model number.

I have an NP700Z3A-S03US, which I believe is very similar to yours. I am on BIOS 15FD.
There are no options in BIOS to enable HDMI output. Testing it now, I am not even able to manually activate HDMI with Fn-F4, neither in BIOS nor during Windows Setup.
Instead, you want to use the mini-VGA output. I am almost certain that will work during boot and Windows Setup. I wanted to test it now, but I seem to have misplaced the mini-VGA dongle that came with my laptop. If you don't have one, you can buy them from Amazon and elsewhere (AA-AV2N12B). They are priced outrageously high ($40 or so) but sometimes you can find them on clearance sales.
Once you have Windows installed, you can switch to HDMI, which will give a much sharper picture. Your screen will be blank during boot (unless you keep the VGA plugged in at the same time) but come on after Windows loads the HDMI port drivers.
I'll keep looking for my dongle and confirm that it works for BIOS and Windows Setup. Assuming I can find it: I took it out of the bag where I've kept it (but never used it) for two years, and stored it somewhere logical. Never do that -

Bad news, I am afraid, is I am still unable to display BIOS, boot or Windows Setup screens on the external monitor, even through VGA
It doesn't automatically detect the external VGA (which I would have assumed) and Fn-F4 doesn't work to toggle monitors unless Settings/Easy Settings is loaded. So installing Windows will be extremely difficult without a working internal screen.
@DaRKNT: If you want to give it a try, you should boot Windows Setup from DVD (NOT from USB): Both because Legacy USB may be disabled in BIOS, AND to avoid another boot problem caused by the ExpressCache SSD on this model.
From a cold power on, hit Esc 1-2 times/sec to bring up a boot device menu. It is tricky: Hit Esc once to many, and the boot menu is cancelled, proceeding to the default boot device. The DVD should be the second choice in that menu.
