Hi guys, I am looking for a new laptop recently. I need buy the laptop in aobut 1-2 weeks for programming and some gaming.
After compare several models I found Samsung R70 is the best one with a reasonable price. I have read almost all threads about R70 here. I found some people said that R70 do have a T7300+G8600M version. But seems no UK retailers selling that at the moment or any news about samsung-UK will release that model recently. Well, should I buy the R70 with T7100+8400 graphic card now or I should waited about 1-2 weeks and there will 100% a new model release?
Also I see some Germany company are selling the T7300 version, do they accept orders from UK?
Cheers for your reading, I need some suggestion urgently. :)

Get the 8600M if you want to play newer games at higher settings.

I expect that UK retailers will know during the next week what Samsung are planning to deliver during July.

You can go to notebook.de to get the R70 with the 8600M GS. Be aware that a UK keyboard adds 59 Euros to the cost and UPS within the EU costs 30 Euros (if I understand it correctly).

Thanks John, I never ordered laptop from website outside UK. Is there any import tax and VAT problem if I order laptop from them?
    Cheers.

Asa far as I know, there are no problems of tax and duty if you buy products from within the European Union (or whatever it calls itself these days) since it is meant to be one economic community.

Computers imported from outside the EU are liable to 17.5% VAT.

Yes, 30 Euros are correct for UPS shipping within EU. You could pay with creditcard or via bank transfer.

And you could also ask directly at Notebook.de how to deal with taxes.

Ordering from UK shouldn´t be a problem at all. Notebook.de really is a good and reliable retailer.

Sorry guys, I got another question :)
I find a new model--X65. It seems another good choice for me. Is there any website in UK already selling it? or a fixed date it will be released in UK? Cheers guys, I am a noob for laptops. :p

There's a surprisingly long thread here about the X65, considering that it hasn't quite arrived in Europe. Have a browse. The X65 uses the very good X60 / X60 plus chassis.

There are two versions of the X65 listed here, and pricing looks to be very similar to the X60 plus models which are being superseded by the X65.Arrival during July is possible, in which case we should see more retailers starting to list the X65 once they have a clearer idea of the eta.
