Hi I just got a new windows 8 series 7 17 inch. I am having 2 issues.
1. I want to be able to override the ambient light sensor, and turn on the keyboard back-light even if there is relatively good light in my room. The keyboard just lights up when the room is dark.
2. When browsing. some of the pages don't load completely. (Images, scripts), and show all wrong. I have to refresh a few times for it to work. I have seen some users with the same problem. Some of them said they fixed it but they don't say how.i really want to fix that issue. I thought it was a problem with my WiFi router, but its not. This only happens with my laptop..

The easiest way to override the ambient light sensor is a small piece of black tape.
I think you will find discussion about the Windows 8 and web browsing problems in this thread.

I'm not 100% sure about Win8, but in Win7 you can go: Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change Plan Settings (active plan) -> Change advanced power settings -> Display -> Enable adaptive brightness and toggle it off. My understanding is that there is a single option for both the screen and keyboard, i.e., this enables/disables the ambient light sensor (or at least acts like a piece of virtual black tape!).
EDIT: This may be what you want: http://www.techseeks.com/how-to-disable-windows-8-brightness-to-overcome-dark-screen-problems.html
(Now that I think about it, I vaguely recall that Win8 has something on it's "PC Settings" menu for turning off adaptive brightness.)
The other route to doing the same thing is to open the Samsung utility called "Settings." Informative name, no? In Win7 it has the more useful name "Easy Settings"!
