Check in Control Panel>Audio Devices or Properties.

Make sure its not disabled or muted. Try using headphones, and see if it works.

Nothing is muted and the headphones work.
My friend booted a LiveCD of several Linux distros and the sound works via the speakers. So its either a problem with the Vista drivers or an update via Windows Update thats done it. Its all setup in the BIOS fine too.

First, I'll move this to the Samsung forum.

My only suggestion is to right click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select Adjust Audio Properties. Then make sure that mute is not selected.

You can always try muting then un-muting. Sometimes the settings get screwed up.

Then I suggest you search through the Realtek control panel. There are numerous options there.

    Hi.

Do you use the headphone socket a lot, if you do it might have failed or be stuck in the headphone mode.

    Regards

    Which operating system?

Did you reinstall the OS or did the sound just stop working?

How do you know if the speakers are working OK if there is no sound?
