I have a NP700Z5B and I have replaced the 1TB drive with a 256 SSD. I replaced the DVD with the 1TB drive. I have also set the 1TB drive to not turn off for 10 minutes.

It seems like pretty often I see the blue hard drive light come on and I audibly can hear the drive spin up. When this happens I am not using the drive, windows explorer isn't open, no apps are install onto that drive.

Is it ok for it to be spinning up and turning off over and over?

What should I set the time to for the drive to power down?
