I've got a Samsung series 5, and the screen wobbles when moved slightly (typing vigorously will cause it to wobble). I don't remember it doing this when I originally bought it- I also checked an in store model and it didn't exhibit this behavior.
I assume that the screen hinge is loosening and that tightening the hinge would fix/help the problem. However, I'd have to open up the laptop in order to do that. My question is, if I open up the laptop, will this void the warranty?

If you ask Samsung then the standard response is "yes". However, there are no seals to break and show that you have been inside. If you have a good set of tools then I would go ahead. Just don't strip any screws or break any plastic clips - you can't expect Samsung to fix any problems you have created.
