My hard drive is damaged (the R/W head is jammed). I bought a new one. Unfortunately I'm not able to install any OS on this laptop. All because of the Secure Boot option, which is turned on by default and I'm not able to turn it off. I've already tried Windows 8 Pro Retail x64 DVD, Windows 8.1 Pro x64 DVD, bootable pendrive and a hard drive with already installed OS.
I'm stuck at the boot menu and whatever option I choose, the laptop just displays it over and over again. I've decided to turn off the Secure Boot in BIOS, but I'm not even able to enter the BIOS. I'm spamming F2 like a mad man just after powering the laptop on. Unfortunately nothing happens and it just displays the boot menu...
I've also tried DEL, F4, F12, FN+F2 and many other combinations. I'm sure that the BIOS is not damaged, because it'recognizes a new hardware (the hw signature is appearing in the boot menu). Any ideas how to fix it? Btw. resetting the BIOS to default settings by removing the CMOS battery for like 30 minutes didn't help at all. Here's how it looks like:

I would ask, with the original damaged drive, does it allow you to go to bios with that installed?

When the boot option comes up what are the listed drives/devices it can boot from?

Windows Boot Manager, SATA CD, SATA HDD and my USB flash drive if it's plugged in. Every device is properly recognized. There is a CD which is an original copy of Windows 8 Pro 64/32 bit in the CD drive, another version of Windows 8 (8.1 64 bit) is already installed on the HDD, the USB stick contains a bootable version of Windows 8.1 Retail.

if you uninstall the HDD and ODD can you then boot from the USB? I ask as it sounds like the USB may have been used at some point and the UEFI info is now stuck in the iSSD which is not a true bootable drive.

Edit; you may want to try a MBR/fat32 bootable flash drive as well.

Nope, still the same thing - even after removing the HDD and the ODD. I tried to boot from my bootable SanDisk Extreme USB stick with the GRUB 2 boot manager. I've also tried Kingston USB stick with Windows 8 64 bit prepared with the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool.
