Here is how you disassemble the Q310. Unfortunately no pictures since I did not have my camera close when I did this.
    1. Remove battery.
    2. Remove two screws on the bottom one marked ODD and the other marked HDD. Pull out both drives.
    3. Remove two screws marked KBD.
    4. The keyboard will slide toward the screen about 1mm there are four little tabs that hold the keyboard at the bottom carefully pry them keyboard up at those four locations. There are two additional tabs, one on each side after they are lose pull the keyboad toward you and it can be detached and set aside.
    5. There is one single screw under the keyboard near the lower left corner, remove it.
    6. Remove all the remaining screws on the bottom of the case. Don't forget the silver screw where you removed the HDD.
    7. You can now pry apart the top have of the base unit.

When you remove the screws please note that they are two different lengths and two different sizes. The two biggest screws hold the hinges in place. Use a credit card to carefully pry apart the upper and lower half of the case. Makes sure that you have opened up the lid as far as it will go to ease removal of the top have of the case.

    For the screen:
    1. Remove the four rubber bumbers in the four corners of the screen revealing the screws underneath.
    2. Use a credit card and pry off the bezel.
    3. The screen is held in place at the hinges by two screws on each side.
    4. Two additional screws one at each top corner and the screen will come off.

If someone else takes their Q310 apart please add some pictures to this thread. If not I will try to add them myself some time next week.

That's exatly how far I got with my Q210. I could not get to the underside though with the heatsink and fan

    +1 for being a brave soul :D :)

I started with this and then experimented from there to actually disassemble the Q310. The next step would be to remove all the screws on the actual mainboard to remove the bottom shell. The only obvious problem was the screw under the keyboard as that is not readily apparent on the exploded view.
