Hello. I bought my q310 in christmas 2008 and was delighted with it at first. Sleek, fast and seemingly well put together. Since then it's been falling to bits piece by piece. I now really call in to question its build quality. It started with a pressure mark on the screen along where the space bar presses on the screen when closed.
Samsung replaced the screen but the new screen had a different defect. I sent the laptop to them for another replacement but they couldn't see the defect. After a better description they spotted the problem and replaced the screen for a second time.
Thats a total of three repairs each taking around a week. The three weeks without a laptop were certainly very frustrating as alot of my work and leisure time is spent on my laptop.
The new screen has now developed the same pressure mark where the space bar presses into it making me think it is a design flaw. It is out of warranty and I don't think it would be worth the money to replace it, but it is certainly annoying to see this distorted, light area on the screen.
The left click only works sporadically now. I've switched the left and right mouse buttons to compensate as the secondary click isn't used as much. It is hardly an ideal compromise though.
The spacebar became bent and stopped working and I had to buy a replacement space bar from ebay and install it.
The clips keeping the battery in broke off so the battery is now duct taped in place.
I don't transport my laptop often and don't think I've treated it delicately, as I would with any piece of kit costing >£600. I do use for many hours a day but I wouldn't expect that to cause the amount of problems that I've experienced. This laundry list of problems has put me off ever buying a samsung laptop again.
How have other users' experiences with the Q310 or sumsung laptops in general been? Has anyone else suffered any of these specific problems? Anyone any ideas how I could fix the left click? Thanks.

The Samsung notebooks in my household (X60 and R20) have both survived quite well. The former is over 2 years old and the latter is approaching 3, much of in use by the kids.

Maybe it's the Q310 specifically that has bad build quality or maybe I'm just having alot of bad luck.
Again, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my sporadically functioning left click? It only works consistently if I press on it really hard. The mouse buttons don't seem to come off like the keyboard keys so I can't really get a look at what's wrong with it. Any ideas?
