I am on 01LH since getting the computer in Nov 2009 and the charging USB port does not work (does not charge). I have also heard about fan noise issues with one of the BIOS updates. Has 05LH solved it all? :frown:

Any advice/experience will be appreciated. Thanks.

    1. Normally, BIOS updates contain fixes and improvements. However, some of the Samsung BIOS upgrades have created incompatibilities so your caution is understandable.

What does the chargeable USB software listed on the Q320 downloads do?

Ah, good point. I donwloaded it and when I run the program I get an error message about the computer not having the feature. I believe having read somewhere that one of the BIOS upgrades actually fixes the chargeable USB connector. But, as discussed herein, I am a bit concerned about performing the 05LH upgrade... And on top of this, I don't even know if 05LH will work on 64bit machines (04LH did not).

Since the upgrade to Win7, my Q320 is experiencing stability issues. Is it Win7 or because I am still on 01LH? I've decided to give 05LH a try but no luck, it is not even running on my 64bit Win7 machine. That's not good; are we going to get a 64bit version of the BIOS upgrade?

Mans, are you saying that I should stay on 01LH? Is your charging USB working?

It's hanging every now and then but I think it has to do with the Win7 clean install since it never did that when I was on Vista. (the EasyUpgrade did not work on my computer)

Fan noise seems on par with 01LH, USB charging app now seems to work. I think I'm inclined to recommend 05LH.

Thanks TC03. I was able to run the BIOS upgrade by shutting off the Sonar feature of Norton.

HEY DO NOT DO THAT, SAMSUNG ISSUE SERVICE SUCKS. Just stay on your 01LH or 00LH if you are lucky. I am more than sure that the latest version still do not refix some of indetified written above problems. The usb chargeable function works on 01LH I checked that up not long ago with samsung s5230 cell phone. I just had to switch some options in bios before checking that. I don't care much about if the windows tool shows something about incompatibility that it complains about.

I still wanna get back on 00LH but I see you guys dont even know that there is one 00LH so strange but I see some differences in working between, like some freezes in video, which now seems to work poorly sometimes the picture even hangs up during some period of playing. I can't understand any other changes which might be the reason of, except like it was before on my old one bios and the version 01LH which I have to join now. Well, guess that depends on a country where a product was purchased in, so mine is q320 fs05RU, and it was on 00LH which was the factorial one.

Okay, I have finally managed to find what I was looking for so long. I have 00LH version of firmware for Samsung q320, but it is in win format, so I cannot start it in dos, and I cannot start it in Windows, because it complains on the version I am trying to update is older than the current (01LH) version...
If you know any way to pass over this... Let me know, your help will be appreciated...
