I was looking to update the bios of my Q35 but got stuck. Samsung only gives a windows executable and I'm on linux. Maybe someone has the bios image around? With that I could flash it using flashroom. help?

    cheers,

Have a look at SamsungPC.com. It's the old UK support site that has various goodies not available elsewhere including a .iso file for BIOS 26SD.

Fortunately, that site hasn't been taken off line. :)

Somehow I knew you would answer :) You're surely a precious resource around here. Well, I'm running BIOS version 03SD and I see the latest is 26SD and all the "bug fixes" seem windows related (which I've never used or will in this machine). Maybe I should just stay put on this one.

    John, thanks for your help!

Grab a copy of the various .iso files in case you do decide to upgrade and they have disappeared. There is also, somewhere, a documented command line option for doing a BIOS downgrade.
