Hi all,
I have some questions about the QX310.
First, i would like to know if it has the nvidia optimus?
2nd, theres something i just dont get about the price. from what i see, the QX310 isnt sold in the US, only in europe. The price for the 310 is more than 1000 euros. The price of the QX410 in the US is less than $900. Can someone explain to me this pricing method? how can the 310 cost more than the 410 and its even quite a difference as $1 isnt equal to 1 euro, so accoring to that, it should cost less in euros

Does anyone has the QX310 and can give feedback about it?

So far, there are no reviews or comments about the QX310. You may be able to draw some conclusions from the QX410 which is discussed here.

Thanks for the answer John, i thought i would never get a reply
I could see that the QX410 can be only bought in best buy.. what someone who doesnt leave in the USA (like me) is suppose to do if he wants to buy it? best buy doesnt ship overseas as far as i know, so what are the options? -
I saw the QX310 today in barcelona. it is indeed a beautiful thing but the price tag was 1099 euros.. not really cheap...
one thing that bothers me is battery. Samsung says its good for 1000 cycles which is something like 3 years.. that means that samsung is telling me that after 3 years i will have to throw the laptop away since i wont be able to replace the battery
Whats your opinion about that? -

There is usually a way to change the battery but one has to do some disassembly. Some of the Apple products have an internal battery and users seem to accept this drawback. There's probably a niche market for people who provide a battery replacement service. Does Samsung provide a 3 year warranty on the battery given that it is not an (easily) user replaceable part.
Personally, I would be more worried about the reduction of battery capacity after 2 years (maybe even less) than a total loss of capacity after 3 years although recent batteries do seem, on average, to hold their charge better than those of a few years ago.
Depending on your specific needs, the Toshiba R700 may also be worth investigating. Start with this review.

Is it the same case with the Q330 also? (battery wise)
