    I have a few questions..

    1. What is the main difference between the two ?
    2. Are the screen hinges on the QX machine made of metal like in the 430 ?
    3. Are both made of metal (both casing and keyboard frame?)
    4. Why take one over the other ?
    5. Their 13" versions, QX310 and Q330, are they built the same way, only with 13" screen ?

    thanks !

Samsung's X series used to be the top of range models built with metal. I assume, because the QX series tend to be thinner than the equivalent Q series, that they contain more metal. If the display resolutions are the same, then the 13" model should offer better portability without loss of display real estate although a thinner chassis may mean a smaller (and potentially noisier) fan.

However, I don't have first-hand experience of either of the models you are considering so my thoughts are speculation.
