    I found a nice notebook I like at Amazon.com: Samsung NP350U2B-A01 12.5-Inch Notebook

BUT, it has a 5400 RPM hard drive and I'd like to put in a 10k hard drive

Anybody ever see any any instructions floating around the net on how to take apart a Samsung 12-5 Inch Notebook?

I thought about SSD, but I heard they don't last very long, so I think I'd rather go conventional. Do they make 10k drives for laptops?

In case you return here, the 10k 2.5" HDDs are made for servers and won't fit in laptops.

I'm not sure why you think SSDs don't last very long. Continuous heavy writing will shorten their life, but that's not the average use they get.

I have questions about the 350U2B-A01.. Is there a model just like this that is i3? I ask because samsungs model lineup confuses me to the hilt.. and they have so many models that don't sell many so the feedback loop is very iffy

Here in Turkey there are 3 different cpu options available. i5-2410M i5-2430M and i3-2310M. After checking the US website of Samsung, I can only find i5-2467M and i5-2410M.

Yeah, shorten their life from 10 years to 5 years. :p

They are retail products, which is why they have so many models. Take the same notebook and change the HDD size - different model. Change amount of RAM - different model. Change color - different model.

This differs from build to order notebooks.
