Hi, I'm about to buy the Samsung ATIV Book but I don't know how the single mic/headphone plug works. I use speech recognition software so I want to keep using my headset (which has 1 plug for mic and 1 for headphone). How could I use on the Samsung? Does it come with an adapter also, would I have to buy it myself? Or can I use a simple splitter?

    Thanks.

PS. I asked the guy at the store and he had no idea :/

Asa far as I know, there's an extra contact in the socket so you need a headset with 4 contacts (which is the normal arrangement for mobile phones). You may want to weigh up the cost of a new headset against the cost of an adapter such as this. The key word to look for are "4 pole plug".

However, it seems that iPhones have a slightly different socket to other mobiles since, when I bought one of these, there was a separate iPhone adapter).
