Hello all, I'm in the market for a 14" laptop....really liking these laptops....just have some questions before getting one (though I've seen the x11 in person now).

is the gefore in the X11 better than the Ati card in the R20?

In Germany (where I am getting the notebook), the samsung.de site says that the 7200 model doesn't have 512 for the extended graphics....but when I was in the store the computer showed 512 under the nvidia control pannel...what gives?
Is there some sort of other x11-t7200 Carlin that was released with more graphics memory like the ?

Anything else I should know about the laptop? Fan, etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

The X11 specs posted by Samsung in UK show that the GPU is the GFG7400. You will see from these charts that this GPU scores around 2000 in 3DMark05 (but note that both those results are for 2GB RAM, which may have boosted the scores).

You will see from the R20 thread that the R20 gets around 1150 in 3DMark05 and 500 in 3DMark06, so it is not as good as the GFG7400. I think someone has suggested that the ATI 1250M graphics is approximately equivalent to the GFG7300.

Do I understand that although you have looked at the X11, you are proposing to buy the R20? If so, I suggest that you read through the R20 thread (there's plenty of information there) and then post any further questions about the R20 in that thread.
