I was looking at the Samsung site for Bios updates to my R50, and found this:
    http://www.samsungpc.com/products/r50/r50_bios.htm

The D5CA BIOS update has "NEW" written to it, and I was wondering if anyone knew how new this BIOS actually is.

My current BIOS is already a D5CA version, dated 2/11/2005. Is the one on the Samsung site actually newer than mine?

I bet it's not, since the 08XA BIOS for my X60 is flagged as NEW on the site, although it is more than 4 months old.
Meanwhile 09XA is out, but it is not even listed on samsungpc.com

How did you get 09XA, if not from samsungpc.com?

It would be nice to have the latest BIOS for my laptop.

After confirmation from our R&D department, the D5CA version

    is the latest firmware.

If you have any further queries pls mail us.
